Welcome to my Amateur (Ham) Radio page. My buddy Bob (KG4LNE) got me hooked into the ham radio scene. We're both relatively new hams, receiving our Technician (No Code) licenses in January of 2001. We're active on both the 2 m (144-148 MHz) and 70 cm (420-450 MHz) bands, in the Atlanta area. If you want more details, you can look my callsign up in the QRZ.com callsign database.

I'm hoping to be getting active on the 6 m (50-54 MHz) band soon, so I can talk to my friend Charles (KG4CGC) in Anderson, South Carolina. I plan to learn Morse code and upgrade to a General class license in the relatively near future, but it's going slowly on the Morse. Heaven only knows when I'll be able to afford a good HF base rig, though. :-) Bob seems to be leaning more toward the microwave and amateur TV end of the spectrum.

One or both of us belong to the following radio clubs:

Also, as a backup, a Tech America (part number 940-0660) that sure looks like it was produced by either Comet or Diamond . It's 5 / 8 ths wave on both the 2 m and 70 cm bands with a UHF (PL-259) connector. 2m/440 Dual Band : Arrow Antennas J-146/440 dual band J-Pole.
